On the morning of September 16, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Nantong Weiteng Semiconductor Specialty Materials Project was held successfully.

Officials from the relevant municipal departments, leaders of the High-tech Zone, heads of pertinent divisions (departments), leaders of Dongchen Town, as well as representatives from the construction and supervision units, attended the groundbreaking ceremony.
Project Overview
The semiconductor‑specific materials project commencing construction this time has a planned total investment of RMB 240 million and will include 34,000 square meters of new factory buildings and ancillary facilities. The project is expected to reach full production capacity by 2026, with an annual output of 1.2 million wafer‑level dicing blades and sales revenue of approximately RMB 250 million. In 2021, Nantong Weiteng established its operations in Rugao. Over the past two years, the company has focused on providing complementary products and services for precision cutting processes across various IC wafers, optical components, and diverse sensors. Its DZY‑type dicing blades can achieve ultra‑thin thicknesses of less than 15 microns, with performance comparable to similar foreign‑made products, thereby filling a domestic gap in applications requiring ultra‑narrow dicing kerfs on wafers. The company holds more than ten patented technologies, has consistently earned top honors in provincial and municipal science‑and‑technology competitions, and has been recognized as a National High‑Tech Enterprise.

Once this project reaches full production, it will undoubtedly provide the High-tech Zone’s semiconductor industry with abundant application scenarios and vast market opportunities. The project’s investors and construction contractors have firmly embraced the principles of safety first and quality paramount, meticulously organizing and scientifically executing the work to ensure the project advances with high quality, at a high standard, and with high efficiency, aiming for early completion and commissioning. The park administration and relevant departments are urged to coordinate closely and proactively provide services—anticipating the project’s needs, addressing its challenges, and streamlining procedures to enhance efficiency—thereby offering robust support for project construction and delivering premium services to enterprise development. He expressed confidence that, through the concerted efforts and close collaboration of all parties, the Weiteng Semiconductor Project will, in the near future, open up new frontiers, create fresh prospects, and make significant contributions.
